Great and brilliant location in Grimsey close to other monuments, and the airport. A huge variety of food at the satisfactory breakfast.

Thoroughly enjoyed my exceptionally comfortable room, it had a kitchen and a lounge. The service was great and the staff were pleasant. Location: the hotel was next to the island-Orbis et Globus, the main attraction of the island-Orbis et Globus and Iceland...

We stayed in a guest room and absolutely loved it! the location was amazing - super close to the cliff top and the island-orbis et globus 🌍. Plus, being right by the sea made it really peaceful and quiet.

The welcoming atmosphere was one of the best aspects of my stay. The hosts were incredibly helpful and made me feel at home. I also loved the location, which was very conveniently located near important landmarks. Another important highlight was the delicious breakfast, which gave me a great start to the day.
The shared bathroom, which could sometimes be busy, but this was a very minor issue and did not detract from my overall experience. the ceiling height in some rooms was slightly low, which might cause some discomfort for taller guests.

I had an amazing stay on this island. The owner was so kind to pick me up from the port and gave me a warm welcome with soup. I loved the view of the ocean from the hotel and the cozy guest kitchen with all facilities. The location was perfect for me as it was just outside the airport and very close to the main attraction of the island - Orbis et Globus. The staff was very friendly, informative and helpful. The breakfast provided was top-notch and delicious.
Nothing could have been better.

The location of this hotel had potential, as it was close to the main attraction of the island Orbis et Globus and right by the airport. The room was nothing special, with no view and a bathroom that was poorly maintained. The service was acceptable but not impressive, and the breakfast options were limited. The only advantage was the laundry facilities and well equipped kitchen.
The staff was not as friendly or welcoming as we expected, and we felt unwelcome during our entire stay.

Had an enjoyable Christmas stay but the best aspects were the complimentary drinks and snacks as well as the beautiful island scenery. the location was great, being close to the ferry terminal and airport. the friendly locals added to the unique experience.
The room was unclean and not properly heated. There was no window in the room, giving it a claustrophobic feeling.

During my stay at Guesthouse Basar, I was warmly greeted by Gaga, the host, who made my arrival so much easier by picking me up from the harbor. The guesthouse itself was immaculately clean and tidy, with beautiful photography displayed throughout. The breakfast prepared by Gaga was absolutely superb. Although the weather prevented me from seeing the puffins and other birds, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I highly recommend this guesthouse for its exceptional hospitality.
